Sweater weather? It'll be cooler in Waterloo region this weekend but still lots of summer left

It is expected to feel decidedly cooler than it should in Waterloo region, Guelph and Wellington County over the weekend and into early next week but one meteorologist says don't fret, there's still lots of summer left.
The forecast says Friday and Saturday will see temperatures in the high 20s, but that dips to the mid 20s on Sunday and Monday and then down to the low 20s on Tuesday.
Over the past week, cooler temperatures have also been felt in the area.
Monica Vaswani is a warning and preparedness meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada and says the cooler temperatures are part of a weather pattern that has brought more cloud cover to southern Ontario, "which, of course, will prevent temperatures from reaching their maximum potential because you're getting reduced amount of sunshine."
Winds are also coming from the north, which is cooling things down locally, Vaswani said.
She adds while there are some people eager for pumpkin spice season, there's still a lot of summer left and warmer temperatures are expected to return.
"August just started. It's not necessarily what's to come for the rest of the month," Vaswani said.
