'Swad Maati Ka': A three-day satvik food festival is being held at Charkha park in Connaught Place, Delhi. Here's all you need to know about it.
The Lieutenant Governor (L-G) of Delhi, Vinai Kumar Saxena, on Friday inaugurated 'Swad Maati Ka', a food festival dedicated to the ethnic Indian cuisine and earthen pottery. The festival is being held at Charkha park in Connaught Place and will continue till Sunday, August 21.
Organised by New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), the three-day food festival calls for preserving culinary heritage and promoting the use of earthen pots as an alternative to single-use plastic.
Taking to Twitter, Delhi L-G wrote, "Inaugurated 'Swad Maati Ka'- a Food Festival dedicated to Ethnic Indian Cuisine & Earthen Pottery at CP. A thoughtful initiative to promote eco-friendly clay pottery against single-use plastic, generate employment and help preserve our cultural and culinary heritage."
