Sustainable development involves the use of natural resources for development in a way that does not compromise the ability of future generations to meet their own needs through the same natural resources. Whereas renewable energy is energy that is obtained by exploiting resources that do not deplete over time. At a virtual press conference, the UNESCO Chair on Experiential Learning for Sustainable Innovation & Development, Dr. Maneesha V. Ramesh elucidated on sustainable development through renewable energy.
