Surat councillor who quit AAP to join BJP returns within months

Aam Aadmi Party councillor Kundan Kothiya has returned to the AAP fold within months of quitting and joining the BJP.
Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Surat councillor Kundan Kothiya, who quit AAP to join the BJP, returned to the AAP fold on Friday.
Kothiya joined BJP two months back after alleging harassment and insult from fellow AAP members in the city. Kothiya was elected from ward 4 in the 2021 municipal elections.
Kundan Kothiya had joined BJP in the presence of senior Gujarat BJP leaders at the party office in Gandhinagar, including Gujarat BJP general secretary Pradipsinh Vaghela.

AAP officials said they were very happy to welcome back Kothiya. AAP leader Gulab Singh Yadav said, "We welcome back Kothiya."
Kothiya said that there was a 'big misunderstanding' and it was a 'huge mistake' to join BJP. However, Kothiya did not respond to questions about her switching parties so frequently.
