Doha: With the start of summer vacations, many schools and entities in Qatar are offering various activities for children at summer camps to keep them engaged in healthy activities.
The activities are designed to enhance the participants’ physical, social, and cognitive skills, promote teamwork and provide an alternative to screen time.
Qatar Foundation’s summer programmes with activities, camps, and classes are taking place across Education City throughout June and August at both indoor and outdoor facilities and for people of all ages and abilities.
The Summer Reading Challenge by Qatar National Library (QNL), which runs until August 10, is aimed at motivating children to read and boost their language skills. The QNL’s summer camp for children offers exciting educational activities and runs from June 23 to August 29.
University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) summer camp activities include swimming, dance, sports, arts and crafts, baking and cooking, cinema and stories, e-gaming and gymnasium for the age group 5 to 15 years old.
