Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal met Punjab governor Banwarilal Purohit along with other leaders on Wednesday and submitted a memorandum and demanded a CBI inquiry into state excise policy. They alleged a scam worth Rs 500 crore in the policy.
The move comes just months after Bhagwant Singh Mann became chief minister of the state.
