Sudbury police arrest 33-year-old man on attempted murder charge

Sudbury police arrested and charged a 33-year-old man with attempted murder and possession of a weapon on Wednesday.
In a press release, police said officers were dispatched to a home on Elm Street, in the city's downtown, where they found a 59-year-old man who was seriously injured. It appeared he was hit with a blunt object.
He was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.
Through an investigation police found the 33-year-old man they eventually arrested outside the home.
The man is due to appear in bail court on July 4. Police say they can't release his name until he is sworn through the court process.
