A 92-year-old pedestrian was killed by flying debris from a two-vehicle crash at a busy downtown Sudbury intersection Wednesday morning.
A 92-year-old pedestrian was killed by flying debris from a two-vehicle crash at a busy downtown Sudbury intersection Wednesday morning.
The crash happened shortly after 9:45 a.m. at Lloyd Street and Paris Street, Sudbury police said in a news release.
"Based on the investigation, it has been determined that two vehicles were involved in a collision causing debris from one of the vehicles to strike a 92-year-old, woman on the sidewalk," police said.
"Community members in the area immediately began life-saving measures and called emergency services."
She was taken to hospital by ambulance but was pronounced dead by medical professionals.
The collision is still being investigated.
