‘Stop hitting on me’: Musk’s reply to US lawmaker gets a Zuckerberg retort
India Today
Elon Musk asked US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to 'stop hitting on me' after she posted a scathing tweet about a tech 'billionaire with an ego problem'.
Elon Musk seems to have mastered the art of staying in news at all times. Every day we wake up wondering what will the outspoken Tesla CEO tweet today. His latest quibble with US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is yet another example of Elon Musk’s undeniable presence on the microblogging site.
Elon Musk recently told Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to stop flirting with him after she slammed a "billionaire with an ego problem” over “explosion of hate crimes”. Notably, Ocasio-Cortez had not taken any names, but Elon Musk must have felt that the tweet was directed at him, hmm?
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also known as AOC, tweeted on Friday, “Tired of having to collectively stress about what explosion of hate crimes is happening because some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special.”
To this, Elon Musk replied, “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy”.
Not one to hold back, AOC responded in kind and said, “I was talking about (Mark) Zuckerberg but ok.”
Elon Musk’s quip is nothing new to those who follow his Twitter account. He is also not quiet about his political beliefs.
“The far left hates everyone, themselves included!” Elon Musk tweeted, before adding, “But I’m no fan of the far right either. Let’s have less hate and more love.”
