Stocks pull back on weak jobs gains

What an end to a tumultuous week on Wall Street. Friday kicked off with disappointing news as just 210,000 jobs were added last month, much lower than expected. Stocks initially opened higher before dipping into the red.
Investors were clearly hoping for better jobs numbers. After all, the Dow enjoyed its biggest point jump of the year on Thursday.
The Dow rose nearly 150 points shortly after the open but ended the day down about 60 points, or 0.2%. However, stocks did rebound from more severe losses: The Dow fell as much as 375 points earlier in the day.
After recent burglaries at homes of professional athletes – including Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce – the NFL and NBA have issued security memos to teams and players warning that “organized and skilled groups” are increasingly targeting players’ residences for such crimes.
