Stevie Nicks Has Major Regrets About Not Voting Until She Was 70

The Fleetwood Mac icon told MSNBC she was done making excuses during a Wednesday interview.
Stevie Nicks wishes she didn’t wait until she was 70 to vote for the first time.
While this high-stakes election season has inspired the Fleetwood Mac singer to speak up about politics, she recently revealed how she regrets passing up the opportunity to make her voice heard with her ballot.
“I never voted until I was 70, but I regret that,” Nicks said during a Wednesday interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “I regret that, and I don’t have very many regrets.”
The musical icon wasn’t entertaining any excuses however, telling anchor Mika Brzezinski “there’s so many reasons” people use to opt out of engaging with democracy despite its importance.
“You can say, ‘Oh, I didn’t have time. I was this and that.’ In the long run, you didn’t have an hour?” the “Rhiannon” singer said. “You didn’t have an hour of your time that you could have gone and voted?”
