Steve Bannon warns of world conflict that could be 'Trump's Vietnam'

Steve Bannon warned his former boss, President-elect Donald Trump, against being pulled into an unwinnable war in Ukraine like Richard Nixon in Vietnam.
In an interview with Politico, Bannon said he is aggressively urging that Trump do so in his Inauguration Day speech, warning that the soon-to-be 47th president could be entrapped by the U.S. defense industry, the Europeans and even some of Bannon’s own friends, who he says have teamed up to push the United States to continue sending military aid to Ukraine. Though friends, Bannon says Kellogg is misguided in pushing that the U.S. continue sending aid to Ukraine while an agreement is sorted that includes security guarantees that make certain Russia will not launch another invasion.
