Stephen Colbert Burns Pete Hegseth 3 Times In 1 Devastating Joke

The "Late Show" host used a classic joke format against the defense secretary nominee.
“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert said defense secretary nominee Pete Hegseth is facing allegations of excessive drinking and sexual misconduct.
But he also has his supporters, including Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.), who flubbed a key line as he wrapped up his defense of Hegseth during Tuesday’s confirmation hearing.
Instead of saying “give me a break,” Mullin said “give me a joke.”
Colbert was ready, breaking out a classic joke format to burn Hegseth.
“A drunk, a cheating husband, and an accused sexual predator walk into a bar,” Colbert said. “And the bartender says, ‘Table for one, Mr. Hegseth?’”
