Step towards gender equality, says Kerala education minister as girls’ school turns co-ed in Kozhikode

The Kerala government has approved the recommendation to allow admission of boys to a girls’ school in Kozhikode.
Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty approved the proposal to allow admissions to boys in Madappally Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Kozhikode district.
Calling it a “step towards gender equality”, V Sivankutty said it was the duty of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government to support such forward-looking movements of the society.
