States are passing laws targeting peaceful protesters

In the past year, more than 90 anti-protest bills have been introduced in at least 36 states, and aimed specifically at protests with an anti-racist message led by Black and Indigenous communities, writes Vera Eidelman. The wave of laws represents legislators taking aim at one of Americans' fundamental rights.

The governments of Mexico and the United States signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday to fund and expedite several wastewater treatment projects in the Tijuana River basin.
