Andhra Pradesh Hotels’ Association requests Chief Minister for reasonable licensing fees and extended restaurant operating hours.

Members of Andhra Pradesh Hotels’ Association (APHA) on Friday met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and requested him to issue licenses to classified (3 star and above) hotels in the State at a reasonable annual rate, similar to other States such as Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal and New Delhi.
Association president R.V. Swamy, along with hoteliers M. Rajayya (Taj Vivanta) and Muthavarapu Murali Krishna (Fortune Murali Park) met Mr. Naidu and represented the case of hoteliers in the State.
They appealed to Mr. Naidu to permit restaurant operating hours in the State till 12 a.m. in compliance with G.O., issued earlier in October 2018. Pointing out that recently, the Telangana government had given permission to restaurants to operate till 1 a.m., they said the move had proven beneficial, as it had enhanced customer service and it supported business growth. “We believe that similar consideration in Andhra Pradesh would contribute positively to our local economy and improve the overall customer experience,” they said in a representation made to Mr. Naidu.
The hoteliers said Mr. Naidu had responded positively to their plea.
