Right-wing St. Louis attorneys Mark and Patricia McCloskey could lose their law licenses as a result of their nationally publicized gun-waving incident with Black Lives Matter protesters last year.
Missouri Chief Disciplinary Counsel Alan Pratzel has asked the state’s Supreme Court to suspend the McCloskeys’ law licenses, citing their guilty pleas to misdemeanors over the incident outside their St. Louis home in June 2020, local radio station KCUR first reported.
Pratzel, whose office oversees the investigation of all complaints against lawyers in Missouri, said both crimes showed “indifference to public safety” and involved “moral turpitude” and warranted discipline, according to KCUR.
