
St. Joseph's Health Care mandating staff to be vaccinated by end of November

St. Joseph's Health Care London is mandating its staff and physicians to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the end of November.
To date, 90 per cent of of those who have reported their vaccination status have two doses.
The new immunization policy will take effect Nov. 30.
In an emailed statement, the hospital said that any staff, physician or affiliate who is not fully vaccinated, or does not have a documented medical exemption by then will be no longer be considered fit to work.
Those individuals will not be scheduled to work, and their employment contracts at St. Joseph's will be reviewed.
Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care will require full vaccination or proof of medical exemption by Nov. 15, as per the Ministry of Long-Term Care's directive.
"From the very first days of the pandemic, St. Joseph's has created numerous policies, protocols and processes to ensure we are providing safe care and to preserve our capacity to do so," the hospital said. "Mandatory vaccination is the necessary next step in our response to this ever-evolving pandemic. "
