Sri Lanka white-ball captain Dasun Shanaka made the day of a young fan by meeting and greeting him after his heroics in the 3rd T20I against Australia on Sunday in Pallekele. Sri Lanka lost the 3-match series at home 2-1 but the islanders defeated the world champions in the series finale in front of a packed crowd at the Pallekele International Stadium.
Dasun Shanaka played a stunning knock as the Sri Lanka captain helped chase 59 runs in the last 3 overs as he tore into the Australian bowling attack in the death overs. Shanaka hit 55 not out in just 24 deliveries, hitting 4 sixes and 5 boundaries.
As Sri Lanka crossed the finish line in the final over, successfully chasing down 177, the TV cameras panned to the young fan, who was celebrating the team's victory passionately.
