IPL 2022, SRH vs KKR: Head coach Tom Moody said learning on the go from Dale Steyn is a huge boost for Umran Malik, saying the SunRisers pacer has been told to run in and express himself with pace in every game.
Dale Steyn jumped off his seat at the SunRisers Hyderabad dug-out, clenching his fists and celebrating the unplayable Yorker that Umran Malik bowled to Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer on Friday. Steyn took fans down memory lane as the former South Africa fast bowler embraced spin-bowling coach Muttiah Muralitharan with the same enthusiasm and joy that he showcased when he rattled the opposition batter's defence during his heyday.
The television footage of Dale Steyn celebrating Umran Malik's Yorker went viral on social media. The young pacer from Jammu and Kashmir gave SRH a huge breakthrough, going through the defence of in-form Iyer in the 10th over with the searing yorker.

Umran went on finish his quota of 4 overs with terrific figures of 2/27. KKR batters found his express pace too hot to handle that it seemed the only way of scoring runs against the tearaway pacer was edges behind the wicket. At one point, SRH captain Kane Williamson even had all his 4 boundary riders behind the wicket in Umran's over.
Speaking after SRH's dominant 7-wicket win, head coach Tom Moody explained Steyn and Muralitharan's reactions to Umran's wicket of Iyer.
"There is a lot of planning that goes on with any sort of match-up against any opponent. I think the emotion that was shown in the dug-out was about the joy for a young fast bowler getting such an important wicket for us," Moody said.
