There is clearly no dearth of live audio conversation app with Spotify joining the league. The music streaming company has launched its own live audio room app called Greenroom which will go up against Clubhouse, the popular live audio conversation app. Audio apps are becoming a thing with Twitter Spaces, Clubhouse and now even Facebook might launch its own Clubhouse-like app. Unlike Twitter Spaces, Spotify Greenroom is a standalone app and can be downloaded from app stores. Spotify had renamed its Locker Room, with which the company added live audio to its ecosystem to Greenroom. “Since bringing the Locker Room app into the fold, we’ve been working to expand its capabilities, with the goal of creating a live audio experience that will delight creators and listeners everywhere. And we wanted to do it with a Spotify twist that operated as an extension of the app already loved by 356 million listeners. That’s why we renamed it “Spotify Greenroom,” as our Founder and CEO, Daniel Ek, announced in an episode of the Spotify: For the Record podcast," the company said in a blog. Spotify Greenroom is available in 135 markets around the world. It can be downloaded from the app stores including the Play Store and App Store. The app comes with new branding, the ability for any user to host or participate in live rooms. Users can use their Spotify login credentials to log in to the GreenroomMore Related News
