Spoke to Indian ministers about human rights, minorities: US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin

US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin has said that he had a conversation with Indian ministers about human rights and minorities. Austin made the statement at a press conference in Delhi on Saturday towards the end of his three-day visit to India. Asked whether he spoke to PM Narendra Modi about the issue of human rights, US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin said he did not speak to the Prime Minister in this regard. "I did not have an opportunity to talk with him about that. Having said that I did have a conversation with other members of the cabinet on this issue," Lloyd Austin said.
