Speeding bus falls into pothole near Kanpur, 30 injured

A private bus fell into a water-logged pothole while overtaking a state road transport vehicle near Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur, leaving 25-30 passengers hospitalised. Six of the people admitted to the hospital are in critical condition.
A private bus fell into a pothole after overtaking a state road transport vehicle, leaving 20 to 25 passengers injured and six among them in critical condition.
The accident took place near Rasulabad town near Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur. Locals in the area arranged an ambulance to shift the injured people to a hospital nearby, where they are undergoing treatment.
The pothole into which the bus fell was reportedly filled with water. Otherwise, the fall could have resulted in a bigger accident.
The bus departed from Kanpur city and was going towards Rasulabad. After it passed Kahinjri town, the private bus overtook a state roadway bus. The bus, in which over 35-40 passengers were travelling, went out of the driver's control and fell into a large pothole.
Around 20-25 passengers on the bus were seriously injured in the accident. They were admitted to the Community Health Centre, Rasulabad, with the help of some locals. Six of the hospitalised people are in critical condition.
