
Spectator dies in bull race near Gudiyatham

28-year-old spectator dies after being hit by racing bull at event in Vellore, investigation ongoing.
A 28-year-old spectator died after he was hit by a bull during a bull race event in A. Mottur village near Gudiyatham town in Vellore on Saturday.
Police said the deceased was identified as B. Parathaman, of Agaram village in Anaicut taluk in the district. After completing his farm work, Parathaman went to watch the bull race.
As he was watching the event behind wooden barricades, Parathaman was suddenly hit by a racing bull near the finish line. In the impact, he was thrown some distance from the barricade area.
Immediately, police and health staff shifted him to Government Taluk Hospital in Gudiyatham where doctors declared him dead on arrival. A case has been registered. A probe is underway.
