Ontario's police watchdog says it's investigating after an 80-year-old driver was hit by a Sarnia police vehicle headed to an emergency call.
The Special Investigations Unit says a Sarnia police vehicle and another car collided at an intersection on Aug. 26. The 80-year-old driver of the car was taken to hospital with a serious injury.
Two investigators, a forensic investigator and a collision reconstructionist have been assigned the case, according to the SIU, the agency that investigates police conduct.
The SIU is urging anyone who may have information about this investigation, including video or photos, to contact them.

Health Minister Adriana LaGrange is alleging the former CEO of Alberta Health Services was unwilling and unable to implement the government's plan to break up the health authority, became "infatuated" with her internal investigation into private surgical contracts and made "incendiary and inaccurate allegations about political intrigue and impropriety" before she was fired in January.
