Spat erupts between Rabri Devi, Bihar minister in Legislative council

The Opposition leader, Rabri Devi, had called Bihar minister Ashok Choudhary, a ‘satta ka dalal’ [agent of the government] in the Legislative Council. Ashok Choudhary responded by saying, “I have been in politics for 20 years. We are not sitting in the House to listen to RJD leaders' abuses.”
A tiff broke out in the Bihar Legislative Council on Thursday, March 17, between Bihar minister Ashok Choudhary and the Leader of the Opposition, Rabri Devi.
As soon as the proceedings, Ashok Choudhary lodged an objection to the March 15 incident wherein Rabri Devi called him a "satta ka dalal (agent of the government)”.
Although the remarks made by Rabri Devi in the council that day were removed from the proceedings of the House, Ashok Choudhary raised the issue and attacked Rabri Devi.
“I am hurt by the kind of language used for me. I have been in politics for the last 20 years but never have I used inappropriate words inside or outside the House. We are not sitting in the House to take abuses from RJD leaders. The abuse I have been subjected to has hurt the entire dalit and maha dalit society from which I come,” said Ashok Choudhary.
After Ashok Choudhary said this, Rabri Devi once again mentioned the incident in the Legislative Council where there was a verbal spat between Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha on Monday. Rabri Devi again opposed Nitish Kumar's conduct of reprimanding the Speaker.
Despite this, there was a tussle between Rabri Devi and Ashok Chaudhary for a long time, after which RJD MLC Sunil Kumar Singh told the working speaker of the assembly, Awadhesh Narayan Singh, that if he wanted to run the one-sided house, then the MLAs of RJD leave the house.
Rabri Devi and Sunil Singh continued to refer to the dispute between the CM and the Speaker of the Assembly and said that Nitish Kumar had tarnished the dignity of the House by his conduct.
