SP leader Azam Khan tests negative for Covid-19, condition stable

Khan and his son Abdullah (30) have been undergoing treatment at Medanta since May 9. Both had tested Covid-positive on April 30.

Senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan has tested negative for Covid-19 infection but continues to remain on oxygen support, said Medanta Hospital Lucknow director Rakesh Kapoor on Tuesday. Khan’s condition is stable and under control. He is suffering from post-Covid Fibrosis and cavity in the lungs, and also has infection in the kidneys, read the health bulletin issues by the hospital. As his health has shown some improvement, the 72-year-old has been moved out of the ICU and into a private ward. He is under constant supervision of the critical care and nephrology team.
