The Samajwadi Party claimed that the MLAs were not allowed to proceed towards the state assembly and were detained at their houses by the police.
Police were deployed outside the residences of many SP MLAs, including Manoj Pandey, Ravidas Mehrotra, Armaan, Mohd Tahir, Anil Verma etc. The Samajwadi Party claimed that the MLAs were not allowed to move outside.
The party had planned to stage protests against the BJP government outside the state assembly for two hours every day from September 14 to 18 over issues such as inflation, the Levana fire, and the law and order situation.
