South African President sends senior leaders to tackle Indian-black tensions in Durban

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Friday said he had dispatched senior leaders to Durban to tackle the ethnic tensions between Indian and black communities in the area.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Friday said that he had sent his police minister and the premier of KwaZulu Natal province to a township in Durban in order to tackle the escalating tensions between Indian and black communities in the area. This came only days after India's external affairs minister S Jaishankar spoke to his South African counterpart Naledi Pandor to express his concern over the widespread violence and rioting in South Africa at present. Pandor had assured Jaishankar that the South African government was doing everything possible to enforce law and order.More Related News
