India Today
South Africa (SA) vs India (IND) 1st Test, Centurion Weather Forecast, 1st Test: While the weather is expected to be cloudy, chances of rain causing a stoppage in play is minimal on Day 1.
India's three-match Test series against South Africa starts with the Boxing Day Test in Centurion on Saturday. It is India's first Test series in the country since 2017/18, when they lost a three-Test series 1-2. While most members of the Indian team from that series are still there in this tour, some of South Africa's biggest stars at the time have all retired, leading to expectations that this could be the visitors' best chance at securing a first-ever Test series win in the country.
However, South African remain a formidable side, particularly in their bowling lineup which boasts of pacers like Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi and Duane Olivier and experienced spinner Keshav Maharaj. India's pacers will also be licking their lips at the friendly conditions fast bowlers tend to find in South Africa.
