Sourav Ganguly made it clear that it was the selectors' decision to replace Virat Kohli with Rohit Sharma as India's ODI captain as they did not want two separate skippers in T20Is and ODIs.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly on Thursday broke his silence on the split-captaincy debate surrounding Indian cricket after Rohit Sharma replaced Virat Kohli as the ODI skipper on Wednesday.
Ganguly made it clear that it was the selectors' decision to replace Kohli with Rohit as the ODI captain as they felt that having two leaders in two white-ball formats wouldn't have been ideal for the Indian teams.
