Sony PlayStation 5 might get a boost in specs for enhanced performance, design likely to remain same

The suppliers of Sony are reportedly working to bring new components for a redesigned PS5 console into production between the second and third quarter of the year 2022.

Sony PlayStation 5 might be getting a makeover in the coming year, as reports of a new variant in works make rounds on the web. It is suggested that the upcoming model will have different internal specifications than what is seen in the current PS5 model. The report is based on industry sources cited in a DigiTimes report. As per the sources, suppliers of PS5, including Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited or TSMC, will kick off the production of the new console between the second and third quarters of 2022.
