Sonia Gandhi to continue as Congress president

Congress had called for a meeting of the CWC on Sunday to discuss the poll debacle.

Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi will lead us and take future steps. We all have faith in her leadership, said Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge after the party's working committee meeting ended on Sunday.

While addressing a press conference following the CWC meeting, AICC general secretary KC Venugopal also said that Sonia Gandhi will remain the president of the party.
