Sonali Phogat's family met Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and sought a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into her death.

CM Khattar assured all possible help to the deceased actor’s family. He told the BJP leader’s family that he had spoken to the Goa CM about the matter.

CM Khattar said the Haryana government will write a letter to the Goa government about the CBI inquiry.

Earlier in the day, India Today had accessed CCTV footage showing BJP leader Sonali Phogat being forcibly given a drink by one of her aides at a Goa club, hours before her death. On Friday, Goa Police revealed that the accused confessed to spiking Sonali Phogat's drink with MDMA.

Phogat's cremation was held on Friday at her farm house in Hisar. The funeral was held in the presence of her close family members and friends. She died in Goa on August 23 of cardiac arrest.
