Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi’s take on plus-size girls in Double XL teaser will find many takers

Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi have an interesting take on plus size issues in Double XL. The new teaser for the film is out.

Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi starrer Double XL promises to be funny, while raising the right issues in a newly released teaser. The new teaser shows Sonakshi and Huma, who are visibly on the healthier side, discussing weight and the issues faced by plus-sized girls. They cheekily mention how clothes don’t fit in and how the prejudice among people and boys around them can be overburdening. All this is done with jest and humour which makes you laugh, but not digress from the larger problem.

Double XL is about friendships and self-love as two plus-sized girls cruise around worldly problems with fierceness and laughter. T-series shared the teaser and wrote, “A glimpse of #DoubleXL fun, that is set to come your way! A story of friendship and dreams filled with masti is coming in cinemas near you on 14th Oct 2022. #DoubleXL #baatmeinWAZANhai.” The film will mark Sonakshi and rumoured boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal coming together for the first time onscreen. Zaheer previously made his debut with Notebook.

Double XL will release in theatres on October 14, 2022. The trailer for the film will be released soon.

Sonakshi will be seen returning to the screens after a while. She was last seen in Dabangg 3 with Salman Khan which released in 2019. The actress has also been shooting for her OTT debut project in the last two years. On the other hand, Huma is fresh from success with Maharani 2.
