
Software related to Karnataka government to have templates in Kannada, says CM Bommai

Chief Minister Bommai said that software related to the Karnataka government will have templates in Kannada and it would cater to the needs of the state's development.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that all software related to the state government will have templates in Kannada.
Speaking at a function to launch the 'e-Kannada' project, Bommai said, "Kannada language should be developed in a manner that will cater to all aspects of Kannada and Kannadigas that would cater to the needs of Karnataka's development. The state government would render all help in this regard."
"In the modern era, the language needs to grow in synergy with technology," he added.
The chief minister also stated that language could evolve ahead only if it blends with the evolution of technology. It is heartening to note that many software are now available in Kannada, he said.
