Social media commentator Kishore K Swamy arrested for defamatory comments on Tamil Nadu CM Stalin, DMK leaders

Kishore K Swamy, a social media commentator, has been arrested by Chennai police for allegedly defamatory posts on DMK leaders CN Annadurai and M Karunanidhi and the present Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin.

The Tamil Nadu Police on Monday arrested Kishore K Swamy, a political commentator on social media, for defamatory posts against Chief Minister MK Stalin, DMK leaders CN Annadurai and M Karunanidhi. Following a complaint, Kishore K Swamy was booked under sections 153 (wantonly giving provocation with intent to cause riot), 505 (1) (b), 505 (1) (c) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and remanded to judicial custody till June 28. Kishore K Swamy was arrested in the past for social media comments on political leaders and posting defamatory comments about women journalists.
