The following areas are under a snow squall warning:
Lake effect snow squalls are expected in these areas. Residents should expect heavy snowfall up to 60 centimetres, poor visibility and blowing snow.
This warning is expected to continue into Friday morning. Some areas could see more lake effect snow through the weekend.
Environment Canada advises to postpone non-essential travel until the conditions improve.
Southern Huron County and Southern Perth County are under a weather advisory. These areas will see heavy snowfall amounting up to five to ten centimetres.
Visibility will be reduced at times. This advisory is expected to extend into Thursday evening, weakening as the day continues.
