Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation trial has become the talk of the town. As the case has garnered a lot of attention, Saturday Night Live’s Cold Open segment took aim at the ongoing trial. The case is about Johnny filing a $50 million defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard for a piece she wrote in The Washington Post about being a domestic abuse survivor. Now, the actress has counter-sued her ex-husband, seeking $100 million.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s case currently has everyone’s attention and it is being broadcasted on many channels. While many celebs have shared their reactions, Saturday Night Live’s Cold Play segment gave a glimpse of their take on trial on May 14. The SNL Cold Play segment particularly focused on the claims that the actress defecated in Johnny's bed. In the clip shared on Twitter, Aidy Bryant can be seen asking Kyle Mooney (Johnny Depp), "Mr Depp, earlier in this trial, you mentioned that Ms Heard left the faecal matter in your bed."
Kyle replied, "That is correct,” and thereafter a fake court clip of the actor’s manager (Kenan Thompson) was played, where she can be seen finding faecal matter in Johnny’s bed. Soon, Heidi Gardner interrupted and said, "Objection, that still wouldn't prove my client is guilty of anything.” To this, the judge (Cecily Strong) replied, "That’s true. But I’ll allow it because it does sound fun. And this trial is for fun." Sharing the segment on their official Twitter handle, SNL wrote, “Unearthed surveillance from the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp trial (sic).”
