Sneh Rana has shown the door to Indian team is never closed for domestic players, says Anjum Chopra

Sneh Rana's performance acts as an assurance to domestic players in India that if they perform well, the door to the national team is always open, former captain Anjum Chopra has said.
Sneh Rana's first act in the women's Test between India and England was to introduce spin in the game and bowl to Tammy Beaumont and Lauren Winfield-Hill, who had put on an opening partnership of 38 runs by that point. She went on to become the fifth Indian bowler to take a four-wicket haul in women's Test cricket. However, the 27-year-old was not done. Rana would then bat for nearly 30 overs in India's second innings, pulling her team out of a situation where they were staring at almost certain defeat, to edging out a remarkable draw. It was her first ever Test match but the fact that she did all this in her first international game in five years has a larger effect on those players grinding it out in India's domestic circuit, according to former captain Anjum Chopra.More Related News
