Sneak peek into new Chinese villages near Bhutan border

One of the collections from November 19 showed at least 39 two-storey structures at Saiburu area, out of which 27 appeared to be complete. While all 15 constructions in the eastern cluster seemed complete, 3 out of 5 in the middle cluster and 9 out of 19 in the western cluster seemed to be still under construction.
A set of new Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)-based satellite imagery provided by space firm Capella Space provides fresh insights into new Chinese settlements near the China-Bhutan border. Earlier this year, primary satellite images suggested construction of new Chinese villages near the Bhutan border. However, the nature, utility and status of these structures remain unknown due to the low resolution of the available imagery. An analysis of the new collection by Washington-based satellite imagery expert, Chris Biggers, suggests that a large section of the structures in the new villages are two-storey buildings.
