Madhur Mittal, who played a pivotal role in Slumdog Millionaire, was granted pre-arrest bail in sexual assault case.
Actor Madhur Mittal, who had been booked for allegedly injuring and sexually assaulting his former girlfriend, has been granted interim protection from arrest by the Mumbai court. Mittal played a pivotal role in Danny Boyle's Oscar winning film Slumdog Millionaire. According to the anticipatory bail application filed by Mittal, he proposed to his girlfriend in December when he visited her in Goa. After Mittal came back to Mumbai, his girlfriend followed him a week later and stayed with his family in Mumbai for 4 days. Around the same time, she asked Mittal to get a "promise ring" to which he agreed and started to look for it. Mittal says that he is a well-known actor and the girl is a model and a struggling actress. They got to know each other through social media.More Related News
