India Today
India tour of Sri Lanka: Former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar said he would be happy to see Prithvi Shaw getting 40s and 50s at a healthy strike rate and that he wouldn't want to put pressure on the young opener to get big scores in the 50-over format straight away.
Former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar urged the cricket fraternity to refrain from putting pressure on Prithvi Shaw to get big hundreds in ODI cricket, provided he can give them flying starts as he did on Sunday in Colombo. Sanjay Manjrekar, speaking after India's seven-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the ODI series opener, said it's unfair to expect Prithvi Shaw to get those big hundreds and allow him to play more impact knock. The former Indian batsman believes, even if Shaw is making 40s and 50s, at the nascent stages of his career as an ODI opener.More Related News
