SKM urges farmers of West Bengal not to vote for BJP

Ahead of the assembly elections in the state, the SKM, an umbrella body of 40 farmers' union, has urged the agriculturalists and people of Bengal "not to vote for the BJP".
After leading a series of protests in Delhi demanding repeal of the three farmers' laws, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has now set their foot in West Bengal. Ahead of the assembly elections in the state, the SKM, an umbrella body of 40 farmers' union, has urged the agriculturalists and people of Bengal "not to vote for the BJP". Accusing the BJP-led Central government of introducing "anti-agriculture" laws without consulting the farmers' community, SKM leader Yogendra Yadav said "it could lead to the destruction of the entire peasantry in the country."More Related News
