Six youths held for cutting birthday cake with machete in Chennai

The youngsters were celebrating the birthday of one of their friends by cutting a cake with a machete and playing loud music.

The police on Tuesday arrested six youths in Chennai's Kannagi Nagar area for cutting a birthday cake allegedly with a machete. The accused have been identified as Sunil (19), Naveen Kumar (19), Appu (18), Dinesh (19), Rajesh (18), and Kartik alias Beedi. On Sunday, they celebrated the birthday of Sunil in the housing board quarters of Kannagi Nagar. They ordered a cake and made Sunil cut it with a machete. They also recorded the birthday celebration and shared the video on social media.
