Six barrels of bombs recovered from Birbhum village

Questions are being raised about whether these bombs have any link with the killing of eight people in the Birbhum district recently.
Six barrels of country-made bombs were recovered from a village in Rampurhat block number two of Birbhum district.
Questions are also being raised about whether these bombs have any relation with the incident in Bagtui village.
Police have been deployed in the area and the anti-bomb squad has been informed.
Eight people, including three women and two children, were badly beaten up and burnt alive at Bagtui village recently.
As per preliminary findings of the forensic experts who conducted the tests on the charred bodies found inside the houses that were allegedly set on fire by unidentified people early on Tuesday, the victims were first badly beaten up and then burnt alive, an official told PTI from Rampurhat hospital.
At least 20 people have been arrested so far in connection with the incident, suspected to have been triggered by the killing of a local TMC leader on Monday evening, and police personnel and civic volunteers removed on grounds of negligence.
