Sivakarthikeyan and Aditi Shankar have joined hands for director Madonne Ashwin's upcoming film, Maaveeran. On August 4, the film went on floors in Chennai with a customary pooja. Director Shankar graced the launch and conveyed his good wishes to the team. For the uninitiated, Aditi is director Shankar's daughter and Maaveeran is her second Tamil film as an actress.

Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in Don, which turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters in 2022. The actor has a slew of films in different stages of production.

The Doctor actor has joined forces with Mandela director Madonne Ashwin for a film titled Maaveeran. The film's shooting commenced on August 4 with a special pooja. The entire cast and crew attended the event. Director Shankar graced the launch and wished the team.

Shanthi Talkies, the production house, took to Twitter to share the photos and wrote, "#Maaveeran / #Mahaveerudu shoot began yesterday. Thank you @shankarshanmugh for gracing us with your presence! (sic)."

On August 3, Aditi was overwhelmed to announce her upcoming film, Maaveeran. Sharing a video, she wrote, "Super excited and honoured to announce my next #Maaveeran with the sensational @Siva_Kartikeyan sir, award winning director @madonneashwin, produced by the enthusiastic @iamarunviswa sir @ShanthiTalkies & the whole team @vidhu_ayyanna @bharathsankar12 @philoedit @DoneChannel1 (sic)." Sivakarthikeyan welcomed her to the team.
