In an interview with IndiaToday.in, singer Asees Kaur opened up about uniting with Chitrangda Singh for a song, Saiyaan. The singer also mentioned that she wanted to sing for the actress after her hit dance number from Gabbar Is Back.
Singer Asees Kaur, who has been crooning chartbuster tracks in Bollywood, recently collaborated with Chitrangda Singh for a song. The singer's latest song titled Saiyaan, which is a peppy number, has crossed over 10 million views on YouTube. Chitrangda is being lauded for her dance moves and Asees has been appreciated for her voice. The one thing that intrigued Asees to take up Saiyaan was Bollywood actress Chitrangda Singh as she really wanted to sing for the actress.
During an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Asees Kaur revealed that she wanted to sing for Chitrangda after the actress's hit dance number, Kundi Mat Khakao Raja, from Gabbar Is Back.
When Asees was asked what intrigued her to sing Saiyaan, the singer. "Chitrangda was in the music video. I really wanted to sing for her after the song Kundi Mat Khadkao Raja. So, I was willing to do it and I thought it would be a great song to start with and the song [Saiyaan] has come out really well," she said.
The singer further commented on the picturisation of her song on the Bob Biswas actress. "I loved it. I enjoyed all the frames, all the costumes and the set was amazing. It is a beautiful song," the singer added.
Before concluding her chat with us, Asees Kaur opened up about the hurdles she faced during the initial stage of her career. "The biggest hurdle would be getting to meet a music director and to pitch your voice. That was the most difficult part. But once I started getting meetings, it was all sorted. Because they loved my voice and gave me a song. The only hurdle was to manage that one meeting," said the singer before signing off.
