Simhachalam temple authorities gear up for Vaikunta Ekadasi on January 10
All arrangements are being made for the ‘Uttara Dwara Darshanam’ of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Simhachalam temple here on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi day on January 10.
As scores of devotees are expected to throng the temple on the auspicious occasion, measures are being taken in coordination with the police to avoid any inconvenience to devotees. Temple Executive Officer V. Trinadha Rao said in a statement on Thursday that the assistance of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), Medical & Health, AP EPDCL, Fire Services, APSRTC and other government departments and NGOs for the orderly movement of queues, crowd control and provision of basic amenities to the devotees.
The temple complex would be illuminated and the main temple would be decorated with flowers. Mr. Trinadha Rao said that darshan would be closed for devotees by 7 p.m. on January 9. Special buses would be arranged by APS RTC for devotees to reach the hilltop from 4 a.m. on January 10.
The special darshan tickets for ‘Uttara Dwara Darshan’, costing ₹500, would be sold through special ticket counters on the hilltop from 5 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. on January 10.
