It’s expected to be a foggy and rainy day across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Sunday, with as much as 30 mm of rain expected in some locations.
The city remains under rainfall warning issued by Environment Canada Saturday.
“A low pressure system will bring rain, at times heavy, to the region today. Light showers may linger into Monday, however the majority of rainfall will fall through the day today,” Environment Canada said in its warning. “Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.”
Some areas could see 20-30 mm of rain, the warning said.

Environment Canada warned that because the ground is frozen, it has reduced ability to absorb the rainfall. That in turn could lead to flooding.
“Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. Keep children and pets away from creeks and river banks,” the agency said.
